Having stayed here numerous times we have come to enjoy this pleasant resort. The staff is warm and welcoming. The foyer area is large and inviting.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. We never had a back-ach with these beds. We always like the small refrigerator in the room.
The resort is only an 11 minute walk from Downtown Disney. I actually timed the walk starting from the Earl of Sandwich and walked behind two men strolling their babies. Walking faster will get you there in ten minutes or less as the distance is about a mile.
A regular bus service from this hotel will take you to all the Disney theme parks. This is a great service as it will save you from having to drive and pay the $17 parking fee. The busses come on a regular bases and we had no trouble with the service going or coming back to the hotel. At night there is even a bus to Downtown Disney for those that don’t want to walk.
There are times of the year when this resort is a real bargain. This Best Western is a great alternative to Wyndham, Hilton, Doubletree, Resort B and Holiday Inn in the immediate area. This past time we were given a room–it doesn’t hurt to ask–on a higher floor and received a beautiful view on a large balcony. My wife was happy.
I have personally enjoyed the breakfasts at this Best Western. An inviting restaurant is open at 7:00 A.M. and continues late into the night. Cooked to order breakfast will cost you about $13, all you can eat too. A welcoming staff has been there for years.
We have not tried the pool area, but maybe next time. I would highly recommend this resort for those looking for a comfortable room, close to Disney, with a bargain price.
