Big Al’s shares the same building with the Albuquerque Public Library.
5 of 5 stars

Sharing the same premise as the downtown Albuquerque Library, Big Al’s Dipper is one kind of a place that servers fresh sandwiches, salads and soups.

An interesting concept on shared spaces.

Everything is made fresh. My wife had a Greek salad and said “it was pretty good.”  Not the same way as it is in Greece, but an Albuquerque style twist.

The Greek Salad was pretty good.

I ordered the tasty the New Mexico Roast Beef sandwich, all good.

I did like the Green chilies.

Our view was looking into the library, a first for us. There were a number of people in the restaurant working on their computers or reading.

Our Big Al’s view into the Albuquerque Library!

You will have to ask for the “bathroom key” as it is attacked to a large spoon—very appropriate!

We enjoyed our mid-day meal and would recommend this restaurant for someone looking for a lighter fare and fresh homemade food.
