The complex is only a block off the famous beach area of Waikiki. It is located on the southern end of Waikiki close to the zoo. Depending on the unit you chose, there are views of the mountains, Waikiki Beach and even Diamond Head. There are several booking agencies that deal with the Banyan. Our last two times have been with VRBO. Depending on the time of year, the rates can be fairly reasonable.

Our rates this time included free Wi-Fi and parking. Our first several sojourns were staying in a hotel and parking was at least $25 a day. Having a room with free parking is a big savings.
Many condo’s that face south will have views of Diamond Head.
The complex is older. However, many of the rooms have been vastly refurbished. Many of them have separate AC units that will cool the entire condo. There are two towers separated by the main foyer area. Tower One would be just a bit closer to Waikiki Beach.
The AC is in the slider. It does cool down the entire unit.Many of the units will have updated kitchens. We went through VRBO to acquire this unit.
There is a pool, hot-tub and grills on the sixth floor. In each tower, there are four elevators. Service does use these elevators and depending on the time of day, there is a wait. We did use the convenience stores by the elevators. Prices are reasonable.
The pool area is on the 6th floor for Tower One.
Overall, the Waikiki Banyan is centrally located to many activities. We even walk-up to Diamond Head from our condo.
