It was a good idea of Tiger Woods to spend his monies creating a unique restaurant near his home. At least he can write off some of his expenses by taking his loyal friends and fans to his own restaurant. Located in Harbourside Place in Jupiter, it is not overly pretentious, but then again, there is certainly some class given to this establishment.
We came for lunch and sat at the bar. There is not a lunch menu per se. Hundreds of thousands of dollars was spent on an “Onyx” stone fixture which is the centerpiece of the restaurant. It is definitely unique. But, with all that money spent on the Onyx, certainly a splendid Aquarium could be as attractive and interesting. There is a certain “cold” ambiance of the Onyx which sets the tone inside this modern restaurant.
We had finger foods. The chicken wings had a “spicy Agave Glaze” which gave the wings a unique taste. About ten wings cost $10 dollars. At Happy Hour from 4:00 to 6:00PM, the wings would be $8.00 dollars.
My wife had the ceviche. Both dishes were good, but not enough for a meal.
The check came in a golfer’s card which we thought was totally unique. The card is good enough for a souvenir!
The bathrooms are ultra-modern and extremely clean. There are several Tiger Wood photos which are interesting.
I don’t know if we will ever go back, but The Woods is a restaurant good enough for at least one visit.
