Located on the road to Diamond Head by the Kapi’olani Community College, is the “Farmers Market,” more like an International Bazaar these days. Accommodating to several cultures, it is a fun time to people watch and grab some good food.
There is free parking at the college. It does fill up, so come early, even before 7:30 A.M. You can also come by bus or do what we did, walk from Waikiki. It is just a little more than a mile from the zoo. You could also visit Diamond Head and then come down to cool off at the market.
We enjoyed eating the grilled corn. Then we add an Italian or Portuguese sausage sub. All tasty and many of venders are Hawaiians.
Venders are selling assortment of products like homemade pizza, cookies, coffee, flowers, vegetables and more.
We have always enjoyed our time visiting this market every Saturday morning when in Waikiki.
