Connected to the Inn of the Governors on Alameda Street, this restaurant has patronage with locals and visitors alike. It is also quite reasonable too.
The restaurant “brags” on having the “Best Margarita’s in Santa Fe.” After visiting this place four times, we concur with that assessment. The margarita is quite smooth and you can get three glasses from one tumbler.
We enjoyed the food, too. My wife had the Chicken Quesadilla’s and another occasion the chicken salad.
She enjoyed both meals. On our third visit we shared Del Charro’s nacho’s with double cheese.
I had the Chicken Wings with Chipotle sauce. I must admit it was the best wings I have had in a long time. So tasty.
On another day I had the “Best Hamburger” in town. I ordered the hamburger “medium-rare,” and it came medium well. The fries and green chilies were excellent though. I thought the meat could have better taste.
The bar area could be larger, but was always filled. Monday Night football seemed to be very popular here.
There is inside dining area with a number of tables, and an outside patio that is extremely delightful and inviting too.
The Inn of the Governors was running special giving patrons a $15 credit every day in staying at the Inn. Overall, there were a number of reasonably priced items on the menu.
