Saying good-by to beautiful Lucerne, Switzerland. After four full days we have a good feeling about this area. We visited Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi, walked the old fort walls, visited The Lion Monument, walked the lakefront to the excellent transportation museum and Henry Wagner’s home. We even saw a few Picasso’s. Our final day the sun came out and we took a boat ride on Lake Lucerne. We traded photos with a San Diego couple by Lucerne’s iconic Chapel Bridge. Originally created in 1333, the covered walking bridge burnt down in 1993, and since restored. The city beneath the city by the railroad depot was a nice surprise. We used the COOP grocery store several times.
Great stay in Lucerne
