“You can’t pick the flowers here!”
Epcot’s annual International Flower and Garden Festival is now open. With the advent of spring, at least here in Florida, this show brings welcomed beauty and pleasures to the senses.
Not as big as Epcot’s autumn International Food and Wine Festival, there is still plenty to see and enjoy. On a sunny day, there is unsurpassed beauty heightening the senses of nature, even though so well conceived by Disney’s engineers and busy-bee workers. The only problem, though, you just can’t pick the flowers.
Don’t forget to plan ahead for your Fastpass attractions. Soarin and Test Track are the most popular activities chosen by visitors to Epcot. You can go on-line up to thirty days to reserve your time with Fastpass. With increasing crowds, it does make sense using Fastpass.
My favorite attraction, besides Soarin, is the classic French film, “Impressions de France.” It is an 18 minute 200 degree wide screen film depicting such wonders as the Eiffel Tower, a visit to Mont Saint-Michel, the Chateau’s of Chambord and Chenonceau and aerial views of Mount Blanc. There is a part of me that wants to join in skiing down the mountain. Even though this film was produced in the early 1980’s, it is fun to watch, and for others, a good nap. Overall, “Impressions de France,” is so quintessential French.
