A local told about AIA Ale Works and it is good. Located in the center of historic St. Augustine, facing the Bridge of Lions and the plaza, there is plenty of seating upstairs and down.
When we want a view, we go upstairs, and if you want to sit around the bar, there is a large space downstairs. Featuring craft beers, there is plenty of good food to go around. Locals do patronize this place.
My wife and I enjoyed the hummus appetizer. She particularly liked how the cucumbers will delicately cut.
On our first night, I had the Jambalaya dish. The shrimp were a tad larger than Bay shrimp. It had good taste, but I would not order this again.
On our second visited, the Coconut Shrimp appetizer had no taste and we sent it back. No problem. We ordered the nachos that was quite large. They were quite good and tasty.
There is a Rewards Card that you can sign up for. There are four different restaurants tied into the Rewards. We received a free appetizer just by filling out the survey on line.
